"Prayer to Our Lady of Good Counsel"
God of heavenly wisdom, you have given us Mary, Mother of Jesus, to be our guide and counselor. Grant that we may always seek her motherly help in this life and so enjoy her blessed presence in the life to come.
O Mother of Good Counsel, patroness of the National Council of Catholic Women, intercede for us, that we may be wise, courageous, and loving leaders of the Church. Help us, dear mother, to know the mind of Jesus, your son. May the Holy Spirit fill us with reverence for God's creation, and compassion for all God's children. May our labors of love on earth enhance the reign of God and may God's gifts of faith and living hope prepare us for the fullness of the world to come. AMEN
"Prayer Before Any Meeting"
Lord, Eternal God, we are about to begin our meeting, and we do so with the awareness that without your Divine Presence here at the center of our meeting and also within ourselves, our work will be empty. Grace us with Your Wisdom and Vision: gift us with holy humor and humility so that not only this meeting but all our lives may be a meeting place for Your Kingdom. Guide others to be a part of this ministry for Your Glory. We ask this through our Lord, Jesus Christ, who lives with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.
"Feed My Lamb: Feed my Sheep"
O Mighty and Eternal God, look upon the face of thy Christ, and for the love of Him who is eternal High-Priest, have pity on thy priest. Remember, O most compassionate God, that they are but weak and frail human beings. Stir up in them the grace of their vocation which is in them by the imposition of the bishop's hands. Keep them close to thee, lest they may ever do anything in the slightest degree unworthy of their sublime vocation. O Jesus, I pray thee for Thy Faithful and fervent priest; for Thy unfaithful and tepid priest; for Thy aged priests; for the priest laboring at home or abroad in distant mission filelds; for Thy tempted priests; for Thy lonely and desolate priests; for Thy young priests; for Thy aged priests; for The sick priests; for Thy dying priests; for the souls of Thy priests in Purgatory. But, above all I commend to Thee the priests dearest to me; the priest who bapized me; the priest who absolved me from my sins; the priest at whose Masses I assisted and who gave the Body and Blood in Holy Communion; the priest who taught and instructed me or helped me and encouraged me; all the Priest to whom I am indebted in any other way, particularly_____________,
O Jesus, keep them all close to Thy Heart, and bless them abundantly in time and in eternity. Amen
